This pro-sumer camera was essentially a 4 Megapixel version of the original PowerShot G1 launched the previous year, which means you got full manual control, a bright lens, flip screen, hotshoe, and support for RAW files, although Canon did take the chance to make a few extra tweaks including an improved grip.
